  1. Right now every time we select a coolant option of on, we have the option of whether to have M8 come on "before" , "with" or "after" tool change command. It currently is set to "BEFORE" as the default. Is it possible to change it to "WITH"? I have tried the machine def. and control def. Both of those avenues would allow you to change the type of coolant command ie. m8,m9,m12. Anyone with an idea would greatly appreciated. I think it has to do with coolant x . Thanks in advance.

  2. Lets say I want to turn the O.D. back 2 inches, the line geometry selected is 2 inches long and the tool nose radius is .032. The code should posts out z-2.03125 and now it is z-2.0 ,leaving material the size of the tool nose radius still to come off.

  3. I just posted this on the Mastercam forum. Any of you having this issue?

"Somewhere in the middle of the x8 update lathe was changed and the turning tools will not will not go beyond the end of the geometry chosen. It will go as far as the end of the tool and not compensate for the tool nose Radius. Leaving something like a cusp at the end of a path( such as turning the o.d. to clean up). I know how to work around it but why the change after all these years. Becomes a PITA when regenerating programs that you have ran and now have to look for abnormalities like this. Also "use stock" in the face parameters page, by default, plugs in the leftover material dimension that needs to be taken off of the face when using stock flip. the value always was (0) before and now every time I face I have to change it to zero or there will be no rough passes associated with it. WHATS UP!!!!!! "

  4. I have added the tool list subreport to the setup sheet because I wanted to simplify the set up sheet. There was just more info then needed. I wanted to add the # of the operation to the tool list but all I get is duplicates. For instance if the first op would be #1 but all the subsequent ops are now #1 for every tool. How do I fix this. TIA.

  5. After installing X6 mu2 I am getting a window that asks if I want to see the "errors detected during posting". I have gone through most of them and fixed them but I cant seem to find the last two. They are variable in the control def. Where are they located. TIA.

    <2> - CONTROL DEFINITION - Post variable 'rotfeed5$' was re-initialized from 3. to 1.

    <2> - CONTROL DEFINITION - Post variable 'lrotfeed5$' was re-initialized from 0. to 1.

  6. The reason I want to see part of the path instead of dropping "smcpath" is that I am still using x6 and x5. So until I get confident in x6 I dont want to write over an existing file.I want to sometimes compare the x5 to x6 nc files so if the pathway shows x5 or x6 it just gives me a reference for now. In the mean time I will check your suggestion. Thanks

  7. Is there a way to change the amount of characters a line can output? We run Haas machines and the control will only accept 80 characters. If I had

my choice The smcname$ and spathnc$ commands would post from my mcamx5 or my mcamx6 forward for the pathway.Example:\MY MCAMX5\LATHE\NC\CARANDO\O10151.NC. I am using x5 and x6 with mplmaster and mpmaster posts.
