quote:Dave, I have showed management at one company I worked for a job that had over 1000 hours in it had a shop rate of $9.17 hour when were suppose to be be getting $125/hr. I was told to shut my mouth and not to do that again. I was the shop foreman so what does that tell you?
Do not know how to do multiple quotes, because I'd like to add alot of them to this post, Dave sometimes owners just do not listen to ppl they count on because of ???that's why the" pie in the sky, throwing good money after bad"and so on keep happening..I wish you well in your business, believe me, but Ron's "spot on " with his assesment of how "some" run there shops.

have you tried clamping those 4 parts in one vise? I've found that unless your stock is perfectly dimensioned, more than two parts per vise and parts start getting thrown or pulled by the tools, even with two, measuring each may be necessary to avoid it..you can program the two parts with one work offset if you only have G54-G59 or E1-E8, if you have G54.1P1-P48 or whatever you can assign each part its own WO.HTH

Mayday where'd you get the X4MU4 in your siggy?
-
thanks for the info Rob, thought I'd done it before just not w/ a tap I guess
-
maybe it only does external ones not internal, which is what I want..I'm sure that I've verified threads in mill Mike, but my memory could be faulty.
-
when in verify and 'show true threads' selected, why don't they show? not a big deal but wondering what I'm missing
-
talk w/ the programmer to see if it's a good job for the machines you have, ie not a job better done w/ wire, edm, water jet, laser cutter, etc. if you don't have them.

try canceling w/ red X instead of closing w/the x in upper rt corner... if you're not doing that already
-
user name= mastercam, password= swiss I believe
-
also right click and you can access the view manager that way too
-
maybe X5 will have some new tools that will help w/ this..seem to recall some thread about diff color faces for solids coming, maybe another wishful rumour..
-
Great idea Chris. Can't have enough tools to help us do our jobs.
-
you probably are just "moving" them up and not "copying" them up, right?just thought I'd ask.
-
do you have the option in backplot "save as geo" selected?
-
delrin drilled/reamed holes spring back some, making an undersized hole in our experience.
-
over on the coast,we unually just get 76 MAROK 150 from our local distributor along w/ air oil and other asst. lubricants.I've got a machine lubricant cross reference pdf if anyone needs one.

Hangsterfers' supposed to be "da kine" wish it was more readily avaiable here

I think G51 (scaling) and G68 (rotation)can be used to modify the serial #s size and angle if you needed to.
-
I use Colins' method
-
why not use a 3/16 em instead of the 1/8?
-
depending on what year catalogue MSC pgs 194-200 or so has good selection of single and multiple flute countersinks
-
single flute carbide 1/8" 82 or 90 deg. countersinks work fine but have no flats on them
E.X.A. manual mill
