  1. The question is in regards to the (Mill V8.1) exporting of tool information located by right clicking over a selected list of tools.

    ie;

NC Utils, Def. Tools, Current, Select-All, Right-Click, Doc file...

Is there any way to modify this so that I can export the information I really need? I only need to eliminate the last 2 columns (Corner Radius and Radius Type) and replace those with one column (Manufacturer's tool code).

This would be a nice quick, small tool list, without much of the fuss of edits!

    Thanks

  2. No Y-axis,

    No Polar-Interpolation,

What you see in my first forum posted message is exactly what I get from my (modified) post-processor. The M98 call for P9002 is where the C-axis engagement is located. This macro was created by the Applications Engineer when the machine was installed.

  3. I am having a problem with the output of C-Axis Face-Contour operation. The feedrate is output on every single line and is also different, example:

    T0101(ENGRAVER)

    M98P9002(MILL MODE)

    G00X30.086Z1.

    C26.362

    G97S2500M13

    G01Z-.15F150. <---- only needed here

    X29.93C26.32F80.

    X29.781C26.226F179.9

    X29.642C26.081F275.5

    X29.52C25.891F363.5

    X29.417C25.66F440.6

    X29.337C25.395F503.7

    X29.282C25.101F550.7

    X29.255C24.792F579.2

    etc.

    Any advise?

    Thank you.

  4. The machine does not have a Y-axis, only X,Z, and C with live tooling. We are using FPM (Metric, MM) and the machine is a Hitachi Seiki HT25R with a Seiki-Seicos LIII controller.

The operation that is giving me a hard time is a C-axis Face Contour. I am engraving a part number on the face of the part. It works well but I have to edit the G-code (strip out all the excess feedrates, different start-up G-codes, and include other G/M codes) because its the only post that comes even close to what the controller and operator expect. I have tried with several different places (CNC, my reseller, etc.) looking for a post processor for this controller, doesn't exist, its just a very obscure machine.

  5. When using C-axis Face Contour, my output has a feedrate appended to every single X,C move, and the feedrates are all different. If there is anyone familiar with the Mplfan post, is there a variable/switch for this situation? I checked everywhere, nothing. Mastercam/Lathe V8.1, Thanks.

  6. It would be a waste of time. Some of us are in and out of this forum quickly because we just don't have enough time. I use this forum for quick help and advice, its been working great. If I can help someone,...if time allows, great. If my post lingers for awhile,..fine. This forum is an excellent resource, I hope it continues just the way it is.

  7. Yes you are correct, sir.

Ok, I am using a Fanuc post and the variable "n_tap_thds" is not in this post. Is this a "system variable" (lack of better description) that I can include into the post or other file? I am using the HTML set-up sheet and I do not completely understand how this system works.

  8. The G-code output is correct, its only the run-time that is being processed as if it is FPM (feed per minute) instead of FPR. The pitch is coming out as the feedrate in the G-code correct.

    ie. M10 x 1.5 thread,

    Fanuc control, metric.

    G842 X0. Y0. Z-30. R2.5 F1.5

G95 is in the G842 macro and is the only time we use FPR, all other operations are FPM.

  9. Did a search and have not found any topics regarding my problem....

When running my set-up sheet, the run-time for my tapping is huge. This is because we are running "Rigid Tapping, (synchronized)" and the G-code macro for this requires FPR, "feed per revolution". This is causing the run-time on the set-up sheet to become unrealistic. Is there some where I can fix this? Post? Config? etc.

    Thanks

  10. - canned cycle disappears, sorry for the mispelling.......

This is a post processor question...(Mpfan)

    here is a sample of the output;

    N20M6T4(DRILL, 1/2" HSS )

    M01

    S1800M3

    T49

    B54.

    G00G90G54.1P5

    X0.Y-25.

    G43H4Z25.M8

    G98

    G83Z-26.R2.5Q2.F500. <----- ok

    R2.5B73.

    R2.5B92.

    R2.5B111.

    R2.5B229.5

    Z-40.R2.5B243.5

    Z-26.R2.5B257.5

    Z-40.R2.5B271.5

    Y-24.Z-22.R2.5B292.5

    M9

    N30M6T49(DRILL, 3/8" )

    M01

    S2300M3

    T50

    B158.

    G00G90G54.1P5

    X0.Y-31.

    G43H49Z25.M8

    G98

    Z-20.R2.5F510. <------- not ok

    Y-11.R2.5B164.

    Y-23.5R2.5B180.

    M9

If I use the '*', to force it, the G83 will output redundantly every line. Any ideas, please advise, thanks.

  11. Good question! I would like to know also if there is a way to incorporate some other drafting symbols or have the capability to customize some of our own. This would be very handy. Counterbore symbol, depth symbol, positional tolerance, and other GD&T symbols. cool.gif

  12. Should the string in "HTML.set" look like this?

    "C:Program%20FilesInternet%20Exploreriexplorer.exe"

    or

    "C:Program%20FilesPlus!Microsoft%20Internetiexplore.exe"

with the %20 in either strings??

  13. Ok, I have Mastercam installed properly but I still can't get the browser to launch. Is it because of the spaces in the Directory names, (as mentioned before in this post)???

My filenames never have any spaces, we're using Windows NT, Mastercam V8.1, and we have had no success at all with this HTML set-up sheet installation. Will it look like the example at the "eMastercam, Tools site"??
