When I program my lathes and I have c-axis mill/drilling ops in the same setup as I post it wants to post the lathe ops as 1 program and then post the c-axis ops as "THE EXACT SAME NAME" as the lathe ops... Why is the post seeing the operations as different programs yet they are the same name and should post out as 1 single program.. Recently updated to 2022 and at the newest update!
Thanks

I am getting an error when trying to import SLDPRT files into mastercam 2020. I have 2 other computers in the shop that do it just fine but the computer I need it to do it the most on will not do it. Has anyone had this issue and have you resolved it? ".......SLDPRT cannot be opened" Do you want to remove it from the recent files list. Is the error I am getting.
Like I said I have 2 computers that do it just fine. I have the newest version of "E-drawings" installed and the latest vs of Mastercam 2020.
Thanks

AWESOME!!!! Thank you JParis that worked....

My solid model turns red and I can't get it back to its attribute color. If I clear all on the model prep ribbon bar it flashes the correct color but stays red.
Anybody have an idea of what is wrong. We use RED color as "DEAD" meaning it is not a good file. So you can see where this causes a BIG problem.

Do you use a step file?

Has anybody had any success with this... I heard you could do it in 2017 but I can not find anything in 2017 that shows how to do this??

Thanks Gunther these setup sheets are awesome! I have been using them for several versions of mastercam and all I can say is my guys and I love them. Keep up the good work? I'm excited to get into the fixture setup that you have. Once again Thank you!

It is set to feedrate in min...

I use that on face milling with great sucess!!! My problem is when I do c-axis milling is where I have an issue..
Like on the tube side!

When I program C-axis milling on my lathe any linear moves are at commanded feed rate but when the C axis moves it is super slow.
I am guessing it is an inverse feed rate thing. I don't know enough about that or how to get it to work correctly!
Can anybody help me with this?
Here is an example of the code:

I have that box checked. It does not set it as my construction plane or tool plane as soon as I create it. I have to go back into "plane Manager" to set it to my C+T plane. All previous versions did this. This is extra steps to perform. If I create the wcs wouldn't I want to use it right away???
I don't want bigger icons just ones that are easier to see. look at my pics above... see the dif??
-
Mike... You may have to tell it a dia..... I would have to check if that is the case with that op you are using.. its under axis control at the bottom of the operation page..
-
When I create a WCS using the Dynamic method how do I get it to make it my working plane and construction plane "right" then when it is created?
Previous versions automatically set them when I created it that way.
Also.... why did they change the look of the icons? Am I the only one that hates the new look of the icons.. They all seem to blend together and its hard to find them anymore. They all kinda look the same. Is it possible to change them other than making them bigger which is not a good option???
I have attached a pic of the old icons and a pic of the new???

I see your (FPT) is set to pitch mine was set to (TPI)... OK..... I try to set mine to FPT as the description says and it will not change????
I type in .059 for a 1.5mm pitch and it reverts right back to 16.93??? wth???

I have always had my metric taps in my inch tools library. I do not have a separate metric tool library. I use my inch one with metric tools in them. ALways have since X4. Now with X9 I can bring in the tap and all is fine till I want to slow the sfm down on SS Material and the feed rate goes to max. I have always been able to turn the sfm down and the feed rate and rpms would update accordingly........Why????
-
I used the migration utility to update my mmd and lmd and control files and every thing seems "ok" but I can not see them in the config to set one as my default machine???? I hate upgrading!!!!!!!!!
-
Is there a way to change the size of the icons in the op manager and tool bars??
-
I agree, a containment means just that. It has been an issue for me with ALL High speed toolpaths..ALL....

I have gotten this error more than once and was wondering if anybody else has gotten this. When I go to add a tool in my operation it tells me that tool 0202 tool already exhist in the tool list,,,but it does not..It ask me if I want to add another so I say "OK" and it then doesn't add anything??? It is always tool 0202 that it wants to add. Also at random times I loos that same tool in my library, tool 0202 which is my finish tool that I pretty much use on every part. Kind of frustrating.

It's not all the time! It's bugging me and it's gonna get me one of these days!! I can't put my finger on what is causing it to do it! wondered if anyone else had had the problem as well.
