  1. Whoop there it is. Thanks Colin. Made my day a whole lot easier for this program.
  2. Changing the pxout to pfxout only forces it to call out the location on the canned cycle callout line. not each individual location. I'm not using the Mpmaster post- ill check to see if we have the force_dpts though.
  3. I'm using a guhring drill/thread mill/chamfer tool and using the vardex thread mill program to generate the code for it. I did a drill operation for all the locations that need done. So it'll move to the xy location then go into incremental mode for the actual drilling and thread-milling. I want the post to put the x and y location in all the hole locations-not just x or y if only one is needed. Then i'll just copy and past the thread mill operation into each location. X0 Y0- want post to put x and y location in the canned drill cycle for all locations. 4. Adding the F did the trick- the * didn't seem to work. I did finally hear back from our dealer so that was nice- he confirmed the same thing with adding the F. And Ron one of the reasons we have had problems with our dealer is at one point they were bought out, moved locations and then didn't inform people. we had to hunt them down. That's frustrating. maybe after switching to a new owner they are better.
  5. we actually Pay for a yearly maintenance fee. So I think they should help us out right? It's not so much that they want to charge for everything, little sarcasm- its trying to get a hold of them and them email or calling back. I haven't done anything with the actual post in a long time (and even that was minimal) and i'm not about to start guessing and mess it up. I'll look for the canned variables and add the * It's still odd that it just started doing it though still. Weird that it skips for us. There may be a setting but I don't think any operators would change it.
  6. It skips it- I've tried already, i had to manually put in first location on the G81 line
  7. I'm not sure how or when it happened but the post I've been using decided to start not posting the first hole location when doing canned hole cycle. It's on a haas machine with generic haas post. This is what it should look like N130 G0 G90 G54 X-18.25 Y7.75 S5000 M3N140 G43 H5 Z2.N150 M8N160 Z.1N170 G99 G81 X-18.25 Y7.75 Z-.25 R.1 F50.N180 Y7.125 Thats what it post N130 G0 G90 G54 X-18.25 Y7.75 S5000 M3 N140 G43 H5 Z2.N150 M8N160 Z.1N170 G99 G81 Z-.25 R.1 F50. --------no hole locationN180 Y7.125 This is how it post it- causing it to skip the first location and go to the second, Y7.125 in this case. Is there either a fix to this or can someone point me where to find an original Haas post- our reseller isn't of much use, you have to pay them about 400$ and hour just to stand outside their office and look at it.
  8. So this Post edit looks like what I need. I found the pmisc2$ and the pmisc2_2$ lines and I replaced them with the new stuff. The next block off lines I'm not sure where they go so I put the after the pmisc2_2$ block of codes. I found the misc2 texting towards the end of the pst file and replaced it with the new text. Changed the name to chamfer tool since pmisc2 was the rigid tapping cycle. When I do a drill cycle and use this cycle it shows up as the chamfer cycle and puts moves in the nc program and it looks like it wants to work but it throws an alarm. Do I need to edit the MMD file as well?
  9. That's kinda what I'm leaning towards. Editing post and the other files is out of my skill right now. I got in contact with my mastercam reseller and In-house solutions. Hopefully they can figure it out. Too much programming to do manually.
  10. We're trying to use a tool from Heule Corp called the snap tool that chamfers the top and bottom of a hole. The problem is program a part with multiple holes you have to have the required moves for each hole. A drill cycle would work but not as efficient and the recommended. Here's an example of chamfer material 1/4" thick The tool requires a move to get the insert close to the part. Feed down to cut the top. Rapid below the bottom of the hole to clear the top of the insert. then feed back up to chamfer the bottom. Then rapid out of the hole. I am using X4 and X5 on Haas machines. Go back the main then move to the next location and so forth. This is a small program with only a few holes. We have 4 sided tombstone with about 24 holes per side. Does anyone know how to edit a post and create a custom drill cycle for this or is what I'm doing about the best way? I've never edited a post before and haven't figured out the custom drill cycles. The parts we do are pretty easy by todays standards. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks Kyle D.
