  1. I noticed one interesting thing when trying to solve my problem above. When I made a 2D drawing and added a simple Countour toolpath to it everything worked all right as long as I chose COMPUTER as the compensation type. When I changed into CONTROL as compensation type all time info disappeared from backplot dialog. Tool also crossed the contour during Lead In and Lead Out moves although Gouge check was checked! (I did this test at home with Mastercam X5 Demo version.) -pb
  2. Hi, A newbie question. I'm running X5 at my school and I have chosen default mill machine definition. I have made some contour and pocket toolpaths. When I run backplot and want to check total machining time using backplot dialog's time info, the area of time info is blank very often. If I change toolpath parameters time info appears sometimes. I don't see any logic why info is sometimes displayed and sometimes not. (Also selecting/deselecting different runs from backplot dialog's tree doesn't seem to work consistently.) What could be causing these problems or am I doing something wrong??? Thanks for your time and help! -pb
  3. Okay, thanks for this info. I'm running X5 Demo version that has Finnish UI. But I will contact the local dealer if I feel I need English UI for some reason. -pb
  4. Hi, I would like to know if there is an easy way to change the user interface (UI) language of Mastercam X5 (Demo-Home Learning Edition)? As I'm a total newbie in Mastercam and going through tutorials written in my mother language (Finnish) and in English, it would be nice if one could change the language of UI easily. This would make following these tutorials somehow faster. Of course you can reinstall the whole application but that's too time consuming. I've heard that this can be done without reinstallation but I don't know the exact procedure. Any help would be highly appreciated! -pb
