After picking the option it will prompt you for a feature like a boss then you need to pick the feature use the pick feature button the white arrow then select how many and distance for example.
I've tried that and it doesn't work. It doesn't seem to be recognizing anything as the target body or tool body. Even after selecting the items.

I tried to get around the issue with XForm too . . . needless to say, no luck. Brendan, I made the model in Mastercam. It was a solid, not surfaces. I have also tried it with a model I have imported as a .stp file and haven't had any luck with either. In Solid Edge you can use this to duplicate hole patterns to more complicated features etc.

I was going through the Quick Start guide and got to the Solid Patterns feature. For the life of me, I cannot get this to do anything. I made a solid box, added a boss and a thru hole. I can't make a pattern out of either of them. Any suggestions? In Solid Edge this is a piece of cake so I'm probably missing something simple . . .

I just started using Mastercam x5 for the first time last week. I am familiar with Solid Edge as well as the Adobe suite so this is a new field for me. I am learning it for the purpose of programming mills. Going through the Quick Start manual, I saw the 'creating curves' section. What is the purpose of it in terms of machining? The only physical change I can see is it changing line colors and adding faint lines on a solid.

I'm getting the same Gview:Not saved error and I have no idea how it came about. I'm new to MC and had drawn a 2D part. The backplot worked well but when I went to verify, the error appeared. How can I fix this?
