Thank you for the quick suggestion. It got me out of trouble today. Most of my mastercam career has been involved with 3 axis verticals 3d cutting. I am just getting started in the horizontal world with 4 axis rotations. Any other suggestions to keep me out of the traps will be welcome. I also had a time in programming features in the back plane. still wanted to twist the b180 and b-180. Think I found a singularity today.
Thanks again

Hello all,
I am having an issue where I want to position a hole pattern on the back construction plane. I run a horizontal so wcs top t/cplane back. Drill operation I pick three planar holes but when I post first hole is good, second b-360. and x and y is off third hole is b90. and x and y is off. Is there a better way I can prevent this in the future.

Cheap and dirty way is to hide your old exe files off in another folder. Then open and associate with the latest mastercam by double clicking the file and re-pointing to it.

Yeah I have always thought it was odd that F5 is delete right next to F4. I cannot tell you how times I have accidentally deleted something.
Mine was "I just had a model to verify?!"

How many of you use sense X8 supported it the option to drag your files into Mastercam?
Did you know that if you hold "Shift" and drag that it turns in to "File Merge"?
That is great. My 2 cents is un-map F5 from delete to something useful like analyze distance.

Chamfer the top of the hole before thread milling you can pick up some extra depth.
