  1. We have Inventor 2013 Pro installed on all the computers in our lab. We also have 25 licenses of MasterCam X6 available in the same lab. When a student or teacher tries to open an Inventor ipt file in MasterCam X6, we get the following error message: In order to read Autodesk Inventor files, you must have Inventor or Inventor View installed. We do have Inventor installed and I have even tried opening Inventor first and then trying to open the ipt file in MC. The weird thing is that it works if I am logged on to the computer as an administrator, but not as a teacher or student. We block student's view of the C drive, but they and the teacher accounts are local administrators to each machine. I have also tried assigning Everyone full rights to everything on the C drive, but have not had any luck. We obviously can't make students and teachers admins, so I am stuck. Has anyone had this issue? It would help to know where MasterCam is looking for the Inventor program. It is installed in the default location in C:\program files\AutoDesk\ Any ideas?
