  2. Hello, first I would like to say hello to all of you mastercam gurus. I have couples of years of experience in programming lathe and 3 axis mill but I do not have a lot of experience in post processor editing. I looked on the emastercam website and on google, and I didn't find any help to solve my problem. I have a problem posting an "initial height" before my drilling cycles. I inserted the parameter "initht$" before my drilling cycles in my post and it is posting the initial height i have programmed in mastercam (in this case 4") BUT it post the term "initht$" too... AND it doesn't have the Z axis term before... I have mastercam X5, mill 3 axis, OKUMA osp7000m control With osp7000m I do need to have a G71 Z*** BEFORE I call my drilling cycle Here is how my program look right now: ( NO. 7 DRILL | TOOL - 90 ) N110 M6 T199 G0 G90 X.8494 Y.9317 S5000 M3 G56 H90 Z4. G71 initht$ 4. M8 M53 G81 Z-1. R.1 F72.98 G80 M9 M5 G30 P01 Here is how I would like my prog. to look like: ( NO. 7 DRILL | TOOL - 90 ) N110 M6 T199 G0 G90 X.8494 Y.9317 S5000 M3 G56 H90 Z4. G71 Z4. M8 -----------------------------------------------Z4. refering to the initial height M53 G81 Z-1.
