FYI
Ran across this when verifying a "5 axis drill" toolpath that was set to "peck". It seemed to slide off location as it retracted from the peck. Sent this to MLC who verified there was an issue,

Jay,
That looks much better than what you had before. You should look at some of the "wire frame" toolpaths. 2D sweep is another great one in the right application

I'm old and I hate change lol. Still fumbling my way through programming a part with the new interface, Jury is still out on the new interface, feels a lot like when Ver. 10 came out. Thank goodness building the right click menu didn't change.

I have been using them since 2011. at one point there was a decision to use a word doc format, guys in the shop nixed that within a few weeks. They much preferred the X+ because they could get everything they needed on one or two sheets. Super job Gunther!

Cool! I couldn't figure out how to get that box to activate. As I said I had been choosing a circle, which I guess it took the dia of the circle to set the od of the thread. Thank you again!

when creating the circle for thread milling (external thread) should the dia be the major dia of the thread and use the over cut for the thread depth? This is the way I have a part programmed, I put in the thread depth in the over cut but it's on cutting to approx. half the depth. This makes me curious as to whether I should use a circle that is the minor dia of the thread and have no value in over cut.

That's what I'm doing now, I'm trying to get it back to where 256 colors comes up automatically

I inadvertently hit V7 colors from the C-hook menu, how do I get my settins back X8 settings? making me nuts not having 256 colors

I noticed when mirroring a toolpath the even though the tool path is conventional milling instead of climb milling. Is there a perameter to keep toolpaths conventional milling after being mirrored?
-
found the problem. guess I never noticed that there was a tip/ center option for facing. that was set to center since I was using a 1/2 flat endmill
set to center i got a -.25 offset. I have never had this problem in 25 yrs of mastercam........Geez

While verifying toolpaths with Vericut the second op kept cutting .25 below top of the part even though the actual code looked correct. Not being familiar with the code for the heidenhain I didn't notice this.
27 ;TOOLPLANE NAME - OP2 JAWS TOP
28 TOOL CALL 2 Z S2500 DL-.25
29 L Z-.1 R0 F MAX M91
I st up my toolplanes the same as I always do so I am totally confused.
I've never had this DL-.25 show up in any programs before and am curious as to where it came from and what caused it. Looking in the manual I did find that its an offset amount .
All ideas accepted and appreciated

what is the real mean of "R" in the stock field? It's obvious it's the length. I was asked by an operator.
