  1. I recently added the MillTurn option for a Doosan TT1800SY specifically.  I went through online training and bought the book but that only covers so much.  I want to pull bar stock out of the main spindle and remain clamped and synced to continue turning while both chucks are clamped and synced together.  I went through all the manual part handling options and doesn't appear correct.  I am actually getting a crash with bar stock and sub spindle in simulation.  When I have the sub spindle chucked on the stock and want it to pull the stock out there is no option to take the stock with it?  There is the bar feed option but that is a separate toolpath and wants to feed the geometry after the spindle has already fed out.  I know something is wrong here but not sure what the correct process of doing this should be.  Any input would be appreciated.

  2. I am working on updating our MasterCam to MillTurn.  I am being told I have to buy MasterCam's version of the machine environment even though I have a file of the machine in 3D.  Also, I am told the yearly maintenance will go up to include this machine environment.  Is this normal/necessary?  I really don't see what could change or needing updates with the machine environment?

  3. What is a cut point?  I am doing some of my first EDM programming.  I somewhat understand how the EDM works but not the little things a person needs should know to work it into mastercam.  I watched every YouTube video on Wire that seamed relevant but didn't get a lot.  Just enough to get started.  I was hoping there were some better training videos out there that didn't come at a price.

  4. Error:XY = UV height (cannot lie at the same depth)

I'm selecting a start point at different depths and a partial chain.  If I do the same thing but select a full chain it will do the toolpath but will then be cutting thru a portion that can not be cut.

  5. I'm new to the Wire portion of X9 and messing around with something.  I want to do a 4axis toolpath but not in a closed loop.  I try and do a partial loop and it gives me errors.  Is there a good place to learn how the toolpathing works?  There isn't much on Youtube.
