  1. Hello, I have been given the task of programming 78 degree countersinks on a large assembly here at work. We are using Mastercam X6 mill level 2 for this application. One of the pictures below shows the details of the countersink. I have already completed all the flat countersinks using a wireframe lofted toolpath and a 3/4" flat endmill with great success. Not shown on the drawing is a series of holes in the 12 degree angled section of the plate with the same countersink, which must be made parallel to the angle, but drilled in the same plane as the rest of the holes. I also have attached photos of the assembly setup and a practice piece I have started. I have tried using both the wireframe path and rough surface pocket, but have had no success. I have tried using a 3/4" ball mill and just rotating the angle of my countersink program in relation to the y axis but it does not work. I would appreciate if someone could give me some pointers on how to successfully complete this program. My other option is to drill the holes in the position shown then lay the assembly over on the proper angle. The practice part is setup on a Haas VF6 VMC and the actual assembly is on a Mitsubishi MAF150E Horizontal.
