    The lathe that I am using is a Haas TL1. In class we are told to use the default lathe and without making any tool changes this happens. Thanks for the explination.

    When I try to generate the toolpath for facing the part, I get the tool embedded in stock error. The drawing shows the tool inside the chuck. I have changed the home location but to it still will not generate the tool path and starts the tool in the same place. What am I missing?
