  1. We are involved in the thermoforming industry and are thinking about subcontracting out some of our designs to be detailed, right now I have some matched metal trim tools I'd be interested in subbing out to someone in need of some work,If anyone is intrested or know of someone that is I'd be happy to talk to them to further discuss this.

  2. Putting your file on the ftp site can't hurt,Something that people think is a bug maynot

always be.I'm not saying that is your case, but its

the reason i said i thought you should upload it for other mcam users to look at and give you some

    advice.

  3. Glen,.i have been in the global s/u,and did not see anything about tab width, let me also say that i am using cimco editor that was supplied by mcam on my v8. cd,maybe this could have something to do with it.

  4. Does anyone know how to adjust the(tab)setting? My

bostomatic can only have information at the start of a program if it is preceded by the tab key,it looks strange w/my tab being 2'',thats a big indentation.Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  5. I have not upgraded yet from 8.1.1,I would like

to hear some advatages from v8 to v9 from some everyday users, also,do i hear that flowline will

work w/multiple surfaces w/out the annoying (sufaces dont form a row error),and if so how well

    does this work?

  6. The way i do this is to toolpath-drill-manual and

select the entities. If you go toolpath-drill-point

,arc etc,it will use the sorting method, the important thing is to select manual.Im using ver 8.1.1.I hope this helps.

  7. Thats the answer i thought i'd get guys, its funny because, this project im doing is also something

that i offered to do for a friend, as a favor at

no cost for the simple reason being that he is a friend.I have to say that with all the petty competition in this world its nice to see the people in this forum being so helpful. Thanks again

Scott, ill reopen this topic when i find a pic.By the way, what program are you coverting it with?

  8. Thanks for the replys,Scott,i was looking for

a file that is already vectorized,(able to be toolpathed)w/out having to do any converting.I could not find that on that site,i did see the picture though.I also looked around the logo site

but couldn't come up with anythig yet.

  9. Im looking for a site that has vectoized geo. What

im looking to do is engrave a picture of a bass(fish)on a dashboard of a boat. I'm already familar w/raster to vector converters,i was hoping

i could get some clean pics without having to do any converting.Any answers would be

    appreciated.

  10. Sounds to me like your using the transform-rotate

toolpath,(not xform) and leaving type of transform on toolplane, when it should be set to coordinate. This is just a thought since im not looking at the file.

  11. Ricky,

being you use this method often i'm curious

to the way your shop converts pdf to vector files?

I'm sure certain ways will work cleaner than others.I'm asking because we also get pdf's once

    in a while.

    Tony

  12. Nice tip Jay,

I'd love to hear a detailed explanation as to

why that happens w/trimmed surfaces.Dan,as to the

retract question,I think(dont mc in front of me)that flowline has a direction box that will

let you change your entries and exits,Jay will

    verify this for me(or not).

  13. If you want to delete a section of surface toolpath,

    1) go into ops manager

    2) right click on nci path

(This will bring up the editor)

    3)choose options

    4)remove section

Pick starting point and end point. If you need, there is a help file, click on the ? while youre in the options box,

Hope this is what your looking for.

  14. Hey Jay,

I know where you were going w/your answer, and it

was probably the right way,Im sure gap settings

was the first thing to come to mind.I figured i'd

throw gap settings out there seeing its a good

thing to keep in mind when having such problems

while surfacing.I usually use the distance setting

rather than % of dia.,seem to have better luck.If

your tool still jumps around, dont be afraid to increase your # to eliminate the movements,as long as you have the clearence to do so.
