  1. Hello all,

Sometimes when i start a job, I draft based on given drawing then go to do dimensions, some values are not exactly correct, could be 0.001 off from given drawing. I always placed dimension values to 4 decimal (i.e 0.1234).

I try to draw the same part in Fusion or Inventor, it gives me exact value.

Attached are sample files, dimensions colored yellow are not correct.

    Hi blu3eyes,

Are you asking if you were to create 1 half of something (e.g., the left half of a smiley face) and then mirror it, then later go back and change the left half (e.g., change the eye from a circle to an oval), have the right half update as well? If so, I don't believe this functionality exists.

    That's what i meant.

If you want that sort of function mirroring the tool path would be your route.

    Please elaborate.

I mostly program lathe, what i usually do is draw half (top half), mirror, then create another level with all entities copied and proceed to dimensions everything.

Say, the next time, there is a revision changed, i go back to (top half) edit a few thing, and bottom half is updated.

  3. Hi guys,

I'm fairly new to MC, mostly use for lathe, I often draw and dimension everything before proceed to toolpaths, just to make sure i got all dimensions correctly. But sometime it could get so cluster. What i'm asking is there away to toggle on/off dimensions. They're still there, you can choose to see them when you want.

    Thanks guy.
