I'm setting up new DNC software. For some reason the machine keeps giving me a physical error when I now download an NC file. Granted this machine is very sensitive. It's an old Mitsubishi. I set the software up on 5 Prototrac machines and it works fine. I just have a problem with this one machine. Would someone clarify that I am correct with my assumptions with this DNC file?
-2 -h -l -x13 -p2 -b9600
M30^M
^M^]
^M^]
parity=2
-h=disable hardware handshaking
-l=literal transfer (I'm not sure about this one)
-x13=software handshake characters dcN/dcM (not sure about this one either)
-p2=port 2
-b9600=baud rate of 9600
I'm not sure what the ^M^ is.
Thanks!

We haven't had any minorities working on the shop floor or programming either.

I'm 29 but have only been introduced to Mastercam in the past few months. I'm our company's Systems Administrator and was forced to learn about MaterCAM to help support it.

For some reason when one of my machinists posts a program and he goes back in the drawing to rotate it, it rotates verrrry stiff. This is a fairly good computer too. PIII 600Mhz, 192 MB RAM. I've adjusted the database allocations also for optimal performance, but am just stumped on this one! Every thing else in MasterCAM runs fairly smoothly and quickly. Unfortunately, the only way he can get the rotation to flow smoothly again is to exit out of Mastercam and enter back in again. I've also installed the lastes patches (8.1.1). Anyone have any ideas?

Has anyone had this problem before. We just got in a brand spankin new computer. PIII 1GHZ, 256. For some reason it takes 1 min to access NCI files on our server and over 1 min to backplot with this computer also. The old computer that the designer was using was a PIII 600Mhz, 128 and it was much faster at pulling in these files and saving. I swapped network cards and video cards with the old computer, hoping that this would help. It still hasn't. I think the next thing I'm going to do is reinstall TCP/IP. Any suggestions....anyone.....anyone?
Thanks!

Jay, the software is called Cadem Net-lite DNC software.
Keith, the settings are for the machine. I've been told before that this particular Mitsubishi machine is sensitive. But, I've set up the software with the same(I think) dnc parameters that the dnc file said the machine required.
I'm going to come in early tomorrow and play with the parameters on the software and see what I can possibly figure out. Hopefully all of the testing won't be in vain.
