We cut on this quite a bit for one of Turf Care Customers for prototype. Very strong material. We use same speeds and feeds for CRS. When you look at the blanks its look nasty .
Once you cut on it and take the scale away, you actually get nice finishes.

I just really started using X and love it. No problems. Got everything configure the way I like it. The right mouse button. Got rid of all the toolbar menus. Either use right mouse button or top menus. When I first started thought everything was cluttered. I pretty much have it looking like V9 menus.Did my first big(complex) part with no crashes or problems. Dont see my self ever going back to V9. Thanks Mastercam.

Is it there in X2 or is something not available.

Hello All,
My boss has done it again. Getting into something we never had any experience doing. One of our customer has the need to for us to make Vacuum form tooling for many projects they have going on. What they provide is the finish model of the part. Well they need the form tool made.
For a person who has little understanding on how to make a tool for them. How does one get info on how o create a form tool. And where to begin to create a model of the form tool. And just where to begin besides at the beginning.
If there any sites, or reading material out there that explains the process, and how to go about make the form Tools.
Thanks

I have ftp under the mc9 folder zipped called crankshaft.
Thanks

No, I need to toolpath it.

We have a customer that would like a Crankshaft made. He has given us the file. Well the question I have is where to start. I'm not wet behind the ears when it comes to 4th axis programming.
Is there a sample of a crankshaft on the ftp site or can someone send me a sample to see how they have gone about it.
Thanks

Hello Ted,
What do you mean by the beds of your machine. If you go under job setup look under to see if search tool library when entering tool number.
And the progam number we can fix in your post by it asking you your progrram # and posting it.
Please to clarify by th beds of your machine.

I been playing around with it. I played around with it getting better results.More less trrial and error. I have one of my guys cutting on it right now. Little sandpaper might do the trick. If you would post your results would be great.

Does anyone hade a good post for c-axis lathe. (eurotech) I tried the fanuc on but the c axis on this one is programmed different.
The way everything is programmed with this machine is that you write the program as if were a mill program and you double the x and make the y (the c).
So i'm looking for a post that can do this which than i can intergrate into my post.
Thanks
