We still are having trouble opening Mastercam 2024 files in SW 2021. Does anyone else know how to make it work? We've tried converting as Parasolid and to lower versions as well. We have tried all three STEP formats and a number of IGES formats as well.

Thanks Dylan, that's good information.

Hi,
I have an assembly that was completely created in Mastercam 2024. There are 30 parts in it. We are having trouble finding an extension that'll work for opening it in Solidworks. Do any of you have experience with this? If so what extension has given you the most success?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. For axial milling, what do you set the P code to? I just want to verify that mine is right. I just heard back from our dealer, and they said that the reason I can't take off more material is because of this:
"The ability to use a negative number for tool comp is actually a software option that was not standard when your machine would have been purchased. (it is generally standard today). If want/need to use centerline compensation then your two options are:
1. Purchase the negative radius option
2. Set up your post to flip the G41/G42 so that you can enter a positive value into the nose-r comp table to remove more material."

I find it interesting that you have to purchase the negative radius option. Does this sound right to any of you?

Hi,
Just starting to use Mastercam on the lathe and I'm milling a female drive profile. I am set to wear in Mastercam. I need to open up the size of the drive profile, but when I put my offset in the control, it doesn't take any more material. Can anyone think of something that I'm overlooking?
Thanks.

Here are the steps on how I start in the middle of the program using the OSP-P300LA control.
I’m using Mastercam with N-sequence numbers
1)Auto page
2)Restart
3)Enter the sequence number you would like to start
4)Press okay
5)Automatically starts searching for the sequence
6)After the program stops searching
7)press Sequence restart #14 on the control panel. The number will be located on the button ( it’s a square symbol with arrows going around it) .
8)cycle start - after this step you’re good to go!
make sure the machine is sent home for clearance purposes before attempting the above.
Thanks Chris! I use the N sequence numbers also, and that worked perfectly! Made my day!! So easy once you see it. I couldn't find it in my manuals.

If I try restarting using the block number, it just alarms out.

Hi,
Does anyone know how to start in the middle of the program that was generated by Mastercam and is being run on an Okuma OSP-P300LA control? I can do it on an IGF program that I was testing on, if it has the NAT line for me to call. My Mastercam post doesn't post that. I would think that you shouldn't necessarily need that. Any ideas?
