  1. I am working on our setup sheets and have a couple questions on creating them. I would like to have the program number on the very first page but I don't know how to allow it to output anywhere else besides the operation page. I have the data field set to PROG-NUM but it outputs a blank text box. Is there a file I need to mofify to make that happen?

I also would like to have a table with a sorted tool list on the second page that shows the tools, holders and the lengths. Is there a way to do this?

Can the first window that opens when creating a setup sheet be modified from stock form? I would like to remove Customer Name and add a few others.

    Thanks,

    Leif

  2. I must have to re-install. I did an overwrite of X2 and I have crashed several times. Everything that I click hangs the computer for about a minute. It says not responding. Every time I click, the screen goes white. It didn't recognize my USB hasp after I inserted it after install. I did the hasp install and it came back.

  3. I have been asking my reseller for 1 1/2 years or better and had contact with CNC. Sent in a list of all machines with a response that they would keep me in mind. We have been on mainenance and waiting for lathe sync for almost 4 years.

  4. I think it is very difficult to get in the beta program. I have been trying for quite some time since we have alot of multi tasking machines and would love to participate. I guess that all of the multi tasking lathe stuff must be done and functional..

  5. This is wierd. When I start X2 MR2 my origin doesn't show up. It doesn't matter if I push F9. I can't even draw geometry. It only rotates about the X axis when doing dynamic rotation. It works fine if I open a file with geometry created. I can eventually get it to snap out of it after trying to create all sorts of different geometry shortly into my brief fit of rage. smile.gif Has anyone else had this happen.

  6. We are noticing that the reference points aren't always working when doing 4th axis work. The first case I thought was either due to the user or the PC. I told him to restart the computer and then it worked. I was sure that it was just his old PC. Last week another coworker had it happen on a newer PC. Restarting didn't fix it this time. But a couple of days later it posted fine with no changes made. Has anyone else seen this and is there a fix? We are using MR2.

    Thanks

  7. I really prefer using a U so the operator can adjust for taper depending on the machine. Keeps me from having to maintain all of the programs. Just be sure that everything after that is incremental.

  8. We only keep the current program in the machine. It gets deleted from the machine once the job is done running. We use Jobpack for our DNC and every workcenter has a computer terminal. This has everything they need to run a job and it is all accessed through the viewer. The only paper our shop uses is a print if there is alot on it. We have it set up to create a DCR (document change request) if there needs to be process changes. Jobpack also creates a .RTN file if a program is returned. The original is still named .NC. I then use Beyond Compare to see what they are requesting to change. Jobpack won't let the operator load the program in the machine until I have looked at it and removed the .RTN file.
