Here's a follow up on what happened to us. Our problem was that in Advanced Configuration/Graphics Support, Hardware Acceleration had been disabled. How that happened, no one knows. We certainly didn't disable it. We didn't even know that Advanced Config existed.
Thanks all for the replies. I hope this info helps someone sometime and they're not struggling for a week trying to diagnose.

Thanks for the reply, Jobnt. We actually replaced the PC with mine and the problem persists. I should have mentioned that.

One of our seats (2022) has started to have the wireframe and toolpath disappear when we toggle from solid to wireframe. When saving, it is also regenerating the part. And when we go to run the toolpath with the solid showing, the play/pause buttons briefly appear and then disappear.
We've run different config files and have installed the default Mastercam to no avail.
Mastercam has told us to update our graphics and we've done so. Now we have a new PC on the way at their instruction. I have my doubts that that's it, but we needed to update anyway so no loss.
Has anybody dealt with this by chance? Our other seat is 2022 and has no problem going from solid to wireframe and is acting normal in every way.

Which one of these questions would pertain to simulation working or not working for no rhyme or reason? Sometimes I think it depends on whether or not I'm standing on my left foot or right foot. But then cloudy days seem to make it work more often than when the sun is shining.

You're right. From here on out I'll love updates, changes, needy customers and Monday mornings.

It is. I've tried all of them. I hate updates.

We just switched from MC '18 to '19. Now my toolpaths just show a single line where the tool would enter a hole for instance. Before, there would be a circle top and bottom relative to the size of the tool.
It was very useful when toggling back and forth between a drill and reamer for instance, showing the two tool sizes in the same hole. Was this a change, or is it a default that I'm not finding? Thanks for any help.

This is a great trick in Opti rough too. Many times we use Opti on a second op/flip of the part to take off the rest of the material. By doing this you eliminate the need of babysitting the slug. The tool will finish on a surface instead of having it out in space making a slug problem.
