Thanks for the quick response. I installed a jump drive into the usb port and it worked, I did this to ensure the port was working. The jump drive opened. I did try another usb connection and had no luck. When I installed the hasp, a Window appeared on the task bar: The task bar window stated found new hardware HASP HL 3.25, Aladdin USB Key. Then a window on the desktop appeared saying: The window asked for the file 'aksusb.sys' on Aladdin Install disk is needed. Type the path where the file is located and then click OK. In the box also is a selection window showing: Copy files from: c:\windows\system32\setup\aladdin I clicked the OK button and the file selection turned blue and nothing happened. I hope this information is useful to help resolve the issue. Thanks,

Hello, I have been using an educational mastercam 8.1 level 3 mill and level 1 lathe for some time. I did upgrade from the white sim to a USB Hasp. The color is purple or blue, I am color blind. The computer hard drive I use had serious problems and now mastercam will not function. The USB hasp does not glow and when I try to open mastercam it states hasp not found. The mastercam files are still there. Any suggestions for this problem? Thanks,

Jay/ aka CadCam, Thanks for your reply. I will try to locate the Filzila software and download it. Maybe it will resolve the problem. I was able to access the ftp site, before the school updated the computer I use to xp professional. I will contact the network department for the college tomorrow. I will ask why, when I had windows 98 I was able to access the ftp site and since xp professional was loaded I am unable to open the site. Thanks, Machineshopt

I searched the files for FTP problems as suggested by Winnie Teh Pooh and only received my post questions and replies. I went to the ftp site again and received the same message. Thanks, Machineshopt

Hello Group, I teach a secondary machine shop program in Ms. I am trying to create different types of machining projects for this coming year. Presently, I am creating a part for a civil war cannon. I am using ver8.1. I want to cut a 20 degree angle on a part using the front view. The part is 4.5" long, 1.813" in height and .375 thick. I know how to machine the part using the top view and the contour toolpath. Is there a way to cut the angle by drawing the part in 3D and using isometic view? Thanks, Machineshopt

Hello, I have a Dyna 2400C mill. I only have 900 lines of programming. I was considering a to upgrade from AHHA.com. The upgrade is about $3900.00. Does Mastercam level 3 Ver.8.1 work with these componets? Is there another way to increase the lines of programming? Can anyone give me some feed back. Thanks, Thomas H. Maples
