I am a teacher with minimal background in CNC. I understand the basics (VERY basic) and have students doing some interesting projects, which I have adapted from some other projects I purchased. One is an LED sign in acrylic. Very easy setup, good grabber for student interest, adaptable, students like it. BUT when doing a more complex shape, we often get an extra line when the cutting tool is moving from one location to another. If this was on a piece of wood, I would simply sand it off, but it isn't. It touches the material just enough to see it. When the light from the LED it turned on and the light travels through the acrylic, it highlights the cut line in the different direction. I have included a couple of images to show you what is going on in one sample. The second image shows what I have the linking parameters set to, I don't know what else to change. I created this as a pocket. The extra cut out areas really help the image pop. I could be doing this totally wrong, or just a minor adjustment. Any help would be highly appreciated. It is one of many programs I teach in my Design Studies course.
