Cent6 post issue

I'm having an issue with our Cent6 post. We are tapping a plate with both 8-32 and 4-40 taps .. The program is drilling all holes then tappping all holes (not drill, tap, drill, tap) If I run 2 tapping cycles next to each other I get a good tap cycle then the 2nd cyle removes our g88 and if feeds down and rapids to the next hole without reversing and retracting ..

If I change this to a drill, tap, drill, tap cycle it outputs the G88 normally...

Any ideas here guys?

Thanks

Kevin

While you're at it, a couple of the other canned cycles in that post share the same problem

You should also be aware that the Cent posts utilize the XR, YR, ZR variables that could cause you probs with the maintenance release as outlined here on the forum so be careful

Hi All,

Thanks for the original post & the replies. smile.gif

We have 5 posts based on the Cent6 post that are now fixed. biggrin.gif

We haven't done much drilling & tapping with them (mostly milling) & so had not encountered the problem.

chris m's last post caught us by surprise. eek.gif

I earlier had searched thru our posts with Cimco Edit looking for "XR", "YR", "ZR" & found none.

I went back to search again & realized the significance of the "Ignore Case" check box. bonk.gif

My 1st searches had the box unchecked. My fault. bonk.gif Oh, curse.gif

Now I have MR0304 installed & a total of 6 posts with the xr, yr, zr in them. banghead.gif

I think the word "Serendipity" applies here.

Without the Forum, we would be unaware of either issue.

This Forum Rocks! Thanks All! cheers.gif
