Mastercam won't open to the post I set it to

I'll go into machine definition and change it to the post I want, with a corresponding control definition and description, but every time I open Mastercam back up, it defaults to the original file and description it was set to. Very frustrating

Make sure you have the rights to edit the files in that directory...

Also, if Microsoft One Drive is backing up that directory,  turn it off. It will rewrite your file after you change it.
