PRO E translator

Is there a way to tighten up the tolerance of the translation? In the past week I have found some abnormalities in the solid. It allmost seems to be a gap issue, but is that possible with solids?

In your ProE read paramaters ,did you try turning on the Attempt to heal solid bodies box? Just a guess here, but it might help.

You also may get better results by bringing in the file as surfaces and then solidifying them inside Mastercam.

Thanks for the reply. I tryed both and have had no luck. The problem only amounts to .002 that the edge curve deviates from the solid, although it is not much, it concerns me because I have not seen this in the past. I am using 9.1 MR0304, and I believe it updated the translator also. Could there be a bug with MR? If it is, it is the second one since I have upgraded.

I was having major problems with the Pro-E converter. After getting help from Forum members I was able to solve it.

 

Please go back to the thread I started "Pro-E converter" on 5-19-04.

 

The only problem I have ever found with the Pro-E converter is that the Engineer has to increase the model accuracy in the Pro-E part file as you will see in the thread. I have had perfect luck ever since I notified the engineer to do that. If you have any questions please post. For now I must go as I am on a hot job.

Change the accuracy in proe. We have problems with it all the time. the defalt is .0012 relative.

That can be to loose for proe to work correctly in proe also.
