I am trying to talk the office in to a up grade

We have V7 Mill level 1. I need some ammo I can use to convence them in the office to upgrade to V8 Mill Level 2. "What will V8 Mill 2 do that V7 M1 want do?" is what they asked me. Also, are the post processers that we will need free or will we have to pay extra for them?

In My opinion, level 2 is a step to get to

level 3, the main benefit is in surfacing.

If You do not do surface machining, You will

have a tough job justifying it, if you do surfacing, then convince the Guy's to go to level 3 rather than 2.

V8 Mill 1:

2-3 axis milling, including associative contouring, drilling and numerous pocketing styles including tapered wall. Also includes solid - based toolpath verification and design functionality.

V8 Mill2:

2-3 axis single surface machining, plus complex geometry creation, includes design and level 1 functionality.
