Ray, when you analyze your chain, take note where you start the chain from. does the arrow show up at the end point of the first entity that you picked ?. if it does, try starting the chain from a different location. If the arrow stops somewhere else on the contour, zoom in on it. you will probably find a small gap, or overlapping entities. you may also have a duplicate entity somewhere on the chain.
