Viewing FTP using Firefox

I usually access the forum FTP using Internet Explorer with no problems after changing setting as mentioned previously. I have been using Mozilla Firefox 1.0 for about a month and have been impressed with it's responsiveness compared to IE under XP Home SP2. Can anyone tell me what to tweak in Firefox to access the FTP. I have been thru all the settings in Options but nothing is hitting any bells for me.

I dunno about most others but when I migrated from IE to Mozilla, I started using Filezilla to access the FTP site.

 

I am not 100% sure but I think there was a thread about mozilla and it's later bretheren Firefox not being FTP clients.

Thanks jmparis, it helps to know Firefox is not equipped for FTP. I downloaded Filezilla to use as an FTP client and will give that a shot. Thank you for the quick response.

Filezilla works great. swiss is the password.

Filzilla works grete with my FTP. WHen I am in the office that is what I use to acces my FTP.

FF does have a FTP extension....folks have had hit-or-miss success with it, I've given up on it and use FileZila.

 

On a shop machines here where FileZilla isn't set up (but FF is) I use the IE extension for FF...Which is simple right click to open the FTP in a seperate IE window. get more FF extensions
