Hi all,

I am trying to modify the manual text in a MPMASTERxxxxOR post. What I would like is to have the comment 1005 inserted after I have the machine move to the start of the cycle, and have the comment 1006 be before the tool call of the cylcle. I can move the comment call in the post and get it to put it where I would like, but I need some kind of a boolean to tell it when to make the comment based on the 1005/1006 setting. Any Ideas???? banghead.gif

Thanks

Glenn

It's acutally a tough one to have different comment styles come out in different locations.

You need to call 'comment' in the location for your first comment use:

"1006 be before the tool call of the cylcle"

Setup up a variable to delay 1005.

code:

scomm1005  ""

snull ""

pcomment #Comment from manual entry (must call pcomment2 if booleans)

pcomment2

pcomment2 #Comment from manual entry

spaces = 0

scomm = ucase (scomm)

#1005 - Comment option 1

#1006 - Comment option 2

#1007 - Define comment with output line

#1008 - Define NC parameter comment

#1026 - ?

if gcode = 1005,

[

scomm1005 = scomm

scomm = snull

]

if gcode = 1006, pbld, n, pspc, ";", scomm #Comments

#if gcode = 1006, pbld, n, pspc, scomm #Codes

if gcode = 1007, ";", scomm

if gcode = 1008, pbld, n, pspc, ";", scomm

if gcode = 1026, pbld, scomm

if gcode <> 1007 & gcode <> 1026, e

spaces = sav_spc

Then later on in ptlchg_com where you want the 1005 comment:

if scomm1005 <> snull, ";", *scomm1005, e

Roger, I had tried something like that with no luck.

Dave, Yoe da man, I think that worked perfectly. cheers.gifcheers.gif We have not found a problem in testing, now we'll have to see in the real world how it works.

Thanks

Glenn
