Very thin acrylic sheet stock

Looking for a supplier of small quantities of very thin acrylic sheet, .2, .25 and .3mm. Pure acrylic, PMMA, polymethmethacrylate, not impact modified.

Have found Hesaglas from Notz Plastics AG in Switzerland but they only go down to .5mm, Clarex brand from Astra Products, Inc. in New York, but they don't stock uncoated material and they get the stuff from Japan, 10 weeks and $$$.

Cyro Industries in New Jersey apparently doesn't do as much acrylic anymore, and they want to sell thousands of pounds. Degussa in europe appears to be the same and the samples we got from them were impact modified.

Thanks

Jeff

A microfluidics cartridge for portable biothreat detection. DoD. Have not asked that, good question.

We're in the R&D shop for http://www.combimatrix.com/ Wholly owned by http://www.acaciaresearch.com/

We've bought from Notz Plastics, good product, resonable delivery; Astra Products sample quality is in the same league, but mucho $$ and uncoated is apparently made to order.

Just wonderin if anyone at this excellent forum knows of other sources.

This will become an impossible task for sourcing without a direct contribution from your client; you might also look into Lexan as a possible substitution. Clarity, temper, temperature, and impact are just some of the variables that could possibly affect this project and its design intent.

Another consideration is to purchase an item that has this material – destroy the item and consume the parts that you require for manufacture. The 10+ week delivery from Japan is probably not going to satisfy your customer.

Good Luck.

Regards, Jack
