Hi All,

 

I was just reading through this post and thought I'd clarify a few things... Draft is an inexpensive Mastercam product for Drafting work. The most current version I know of is v9.0SP1. It can be thought of as a toned down version of Design. Draft does not operate with a Dongle/SIM. The Draft software licensing is like any other software licensing that doesn't run with a hardware key (ie. Can be installed and used on one PC).

 

A few things to know about Draft:

 

1.) Draft is not updateable. This means that if new translators, updates, etc. come out for Mastercam v9, you will not be able to use them with Draft.

 

2.) Draft is not upgradeable. This means that you cannot at a later date upgrade Draft to a seat of Design, Mill, Router, Lathe, etc.

 

3.) Add-Ons do not work with Draft. This includes optional translators, Solids, etc.

 

4.) C-hooks do not work with Draft.

Well as Ernie is pointing out and talked with the wrong person.

So all know this from a disk from CNC and there has been updates

Also the scroll works well to. Just like 9.1 design would.

Ernie what troubles with Splines I will try in Draft 9.1 mr304 to see if it works better.

The problem with Draft 9.0SP1 was Xform - Offseting a spline didn’t work.

 

Jay can you try offseting a Spline?

This was a shipped disk from CNC I will try it now.

Erine it works fine here created a spline and offset it 1in with no trouble.

thad... the idea was that the company would purchase it for me to put on my home pc for working at home. i understand what you are saying about only putting it on one pc.

 

as far as my sig... i'm not as clever as the rest of these guru's here so i typed random letters. it makes almost as much sense as some of the people i work with!
