Lathe Stock Transfer

Hello,

I have a query on Mastercam Lathe version 9. I have created a model inside Lathe and configured the operations for

the model. The operations consist of Stock transfer operation also to perform operation on both side of the workpiece.

After defining all the operation for the model, When I open the Job Setup dialog box-> Boundaries -> Stock Parameters,

the settings corresponding to the currently active MC9 file is not retained. When I click on ok without making any

modifications the original settings is not retained. The Stock parameters and the chuck parameters gets modified.

Due to the this the Correct Stock boundaries and chuck paramaters are altered and the toolpath is no more correct.

Can anyone please suggest me whether I am going wrong somewhere or what's the problem there.

Thanks

Once you define your stock and your chuck boundaries, do not go back into that screen unless you need to change them; if you do end up there click Cancel instead of OK. I don't know why but the parameters for the boundaries seem to reset themselves to some random values [probably from the cfg file] after you set the job up and will f__k you up if you go back in there.

That happens when you start changing ops after doing Stock Flip, Transfer, etc. I ALWAYS have strange values in my stock definition after I set the file up initially if I accidentally go back in there. The only way not to f__k yourself is click Cancel

Whenever I do a stock transfer using a 3d model as the reference geometry, the model geometry is not shifting to the other spindle. If I use a 2d geometry for reference it is transferred easily.

Is there any trick in this.

Thanks in advance.
