I have a file I did a save on and mastercam crashed while attempting to save. When I look at the file size there is info there but when I try an open it nothing is in the file. The preview window shows my part but still nothing when trying to open it. Any help here would be great.

The file save, also saves a bmp with the file so you can quickly scan for the correct part when searching through directories. I would say this is the info you see in the file, and the geometry is gone. Sorry I couldn't help you get the file back.

I had this problem a while ago. The problem was that the Autosave was using the active Mastercam filename. I did a manual save at the same time an autosave was taking place resulting in a locked computer and a null file (lost work). Go into the system configuration menu, Start/Exit, Autosave - and uncheck "Save using active mastercam filename". It won't happen again but your SOL this time.

I have been having the same problem. After pulling out most of my hair I turned off *Norton Auto Protect* virus software and it went away. The network guy said it makes sense because Norton interferes with disk activity.
