WCS???

Not to be ignorant, but what is the difference between a work coordinate system and a construction plane?

Hi Mike,

Construction plane is the view that you want to draw in.

A Work coordinate system (WCS)is a new Tplain & Cplain along with a new Part datum point to come from the original home position of the part.

This way you can use one file and program all side of the part even using different pickup points.

Then when you post of the different programs from Ops Manger it will know were each plain and home pickup for each program is.

Hey again,

Here is a picture Click Here showing a part I did.

You will see the Brown F9 and a green & blue WCS this were all the program for this op in the program will come from for this side & op.

By the way that fancy 3D axis was given as a Pattern from Kathyc on this forum. Thanks Kathy I use it all the time now.

Helps the customers see were home position and the orientation of the part is.

I do not have a problem with it.
