control definitions in x

I get an error when trying to change settings in the control def. It reads: error opening c:mcamxconfigsystem(read-only).control

It tells me to check the read only attribute.

then it says go to machine def. manager and that tells me that system machine default cannot be edited.

Also when I post i get a G92 of X250.Y250.Z250. instead of X0.Y0.Z0.

this is what my post reads from:

pbld, "G92", *xh$, *yh$, *zh$, e$

any help would be greatly appreciated banghead.gif

Control Def.s can be modified through the machine defintion manager.

Go to Machine Type drop down and pick machine def manager. This will prompt you to hit ok so it saves your file first.

Once there you can go to the upper bar and one of those icons are for control definitions (edit).

It is here you can change the definitions.

Why are you trying to modify the system (read-only).control? How did you end up with that loaded in the control definition manager? This control definition is not meant to be modified, it is a default system file. You should be modifying control (and machine) definition files located in the cnc_machines folder (or wherever you choose to store them).
