Program to extract Z depths from NC program?

Does anyone know of a program that will read an NC file and create a setup sheet that gives Z depths for each tool. I modified an HTML setup sheet for current files, but I have a lot of old files that don't have toolpaths associated with them and would like to extract the cutting depths directly from the NC file without manually searching. I have not been able to locate any such animal by a google search. I would appreciate any help. Thanks Jim

I have used the cimco editor in Mastercam v9 to find the min/max Z

ranges. I haven't use it for multi tools in a program though. I only use it for 3d paths to check the min/max depths.(Ver 9)

There is one on the FTP called bruce.set, there are few actually on the FTP that will do that.

A number of text editors could do something like that (I use UltraEdit), using a macro or script and regular expression searching.

Keep in mind that XZ and YZ arcs will go deeper than the Z value in the program. It may be that some of the programs mentioned here are smart enough to compensate for that.

 

Just want to make sure you're aware of that.
