Hey guys great forum. Lots of good info. I really need some help. I am trying to learn Lathe 9 SPI.

Is there anywhere in Ventura County that i can go to learn this(affortable)? Is there any good books(tutorials, examples, demo cd's)? The company i work for has there own cd's but i would like to load this at home so i can at least learn. I have already tried to get some knowledge from the poeple here at work but they all think i want to steal there job (rather get the knowledge and move on). I have a solid backround in with cad softwares. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do a search on the forum, lots of previous help on this topic. Look for books and CD's by Charles Davis and Mike Mattera.... Also check Ebay, lots of books and tutorials available.

When I went thru mill training, I asked for and received (after alot of whining about the cost) a demo disk that I used at home. I figured that I had already paid for it with the $1750.00 cost for the class. It was version 9.1 and had mill, lathe & wire on it. You can't save or post but you can practice chaining, manipulating, etc.

Let the sparks fly
