Can you deselect a face of a solid in surface contour?

Recommended Posts

I tried doing this. I have 1 solid. I do solid selection and select it. Ok now I have 66 drive surfaces. There are two counterbores that I don't want to make the ball nose machine. I click geometry for the operation, click the selection arrow, change it to solid selection, face only, and select the two counterbores. They turn red. I end the function with the green circle. Geometry says i still have 66 drive surfaces, and it still trys to machine it. Any ideas?

I'm afraid it's not possible to deselect solid faces, unless you had selected them induvidually in the first place.

You could try going into the Solids Manager and surpressing the counterbores.

{Edit} Then you can regen your operation. If you then need to bring your counterbores back into view, but not worry about it affecting the contour toolpath, you can lock the toolpath in the Toolpath Manager.
