Am I blind. I cannot find leadin/leadout and xy stock to leave and z stock to leave in the common parameters page. What was wrong with the old way that this worked?

Seriously though, you are correct, it is not available in X.

Just because it was old does not mean that it was a bad idea. It needs to be reinstated.

I don't want to appear abrupt, but I just had to edit over 50 operations. This should have taken a minute or two instead of 30.

The whole 'edit common parameters' setup has been somewhat of a mess all along; someone on this forum coined the phrase 'edit random parameters' because that was quite accurate for V9. I haven't loaded X yet but if what you want isn't in there now I would guess that CNC Software wanted to limit options to help insure functionality this time. I suggest calling your reseller and talking with them about it; perhaps what you need to do can be accomplished in a new way, or, if not, they can pass along your comments to the appropriate people at CNC Software and get you an answer.

Edit common parameters was changed to only allow the user to see and edit those parameters that are truely common between all operations. In previous versions there were many cases where users thought they were editing something but in fact they were not.

 

Are all of the operations you are trying to edit the same type? If that is the case we did not build that into ECP for X.

That is correct. They were all the same. rough passes that I wanted to convert to finish passes. I was able to alter the feed and speed, but not the stock to leave or leadin/leadout.
