.slprt file with mcx

A similar problem has been reported a couple times. When you go into the File/Open dialog and go to the file your SolidWorks file is in and change the 'Files of type' dropdown to "SolidWorks Files (*.SLDPRT)", do you see file in the list above it? If it's there, and you single-click on it, does the "File name:" field show the full filename? Does it by any chance have the filename but with ".SLD" at the end instead of ".SLDPRT"? (that's been the complaint we've heard a couple times)

ok, here it goes...

- when i do file/open then change drop down menu to .sldprt files only, it does not see any solidworks file.

- parasolid files (x_t x_B) nothing shows .

- all files shows the file with .sld extension, and if i try to open it it says, file can not be found and there is no option button.

i hope you understand how i explained it. thanx.

No, because we haven't been able to reproduce it here. I think you're the 3rd person to report it since X was released in July.

Since you're getting the files from another department, are you trying to open them across the network or are you copying the SLDPRT files to the local computer and letting File/Open look there?

The workaround in File/Open is to select the file, and when the "File name:" field says ".SLD", click in their and add "PRT" to the end and then hit Enter.
