does anyone know a way of simplifiing probe programming on a toshiba vertical cnc,i guess what i am looking for is a cam add-on or stand alone software to program the probe.

Well Raj, depending on what you are trying to accomplish there is a couple of different ways.

 

If you're looking for inspection type routines

Metrolosys

 

This may be an option

 

If you are looking to use the macros that came with your probe then setting up your post to use custom drill cycles is a good option.

 

If you do a search on probing custom drill cycles there should be a wealth of information available here.

I've customized a few drill cycles to do this. For the most part, you're only looking at doing a few things anyway. Measuring a Boss/Bore, Measuring a location edge, measuring a step, then Locating on the above features. The only drawback to doing it with drill cycles is that I don't see the probe motion other than the z move.
