Converting Pro-E .DRW Files

Does anyone Know of a Converter for Mastercam to Translate .drw Files in? We use the Pro-E converter to bring in .prt files. But when we need a drawing file we have to convert in Pro-E to an iges file and then bring it in. A .drw translator would help out. Thanks

You can use pro-E to create a DWG file and print it out ..I don't know if thats what your refering too but that's something we do right in mastercam

Actually Thats not what I'm looking for.Im Looking for a way to Bring in a

native .drw(Pro-E) file Into Mastercam with some kind of translator, if something like that exists.

There is no direct translator for a .drw file and I seriously doubt there will ever be one. The reason is that modelling software like Pro-E, Solidworks and the like keep track of multiple files simultaneously. There is no "real" part data in the .drw file. It is just a flat representation of the solid with dimensions added. The part itself only exists in the .prt file and the .drw references the parametric dimensions in that .prt file. For an import to work, the translator would have to know the relationship between the .drw and the .prt and have both files available. You might as well have Pro-E and print out the .drw file since that's the only data you're going to get anyway.
