edit common parameters-not working

I'm trying to edit common parameters on several drill paths. I want to change the Retract from .100 to -.500. I go to edit common parameters toggle the check box change the field to -.500 hit apply and the green check mark and it's not changing anything. Am I missing something?

nevermind, just did a search and found out it's been going on for a long time.
