For example if i have an arc that starts at 0 degrees & ends at 180 degrees & i apply a tool path contour & post it out using i j or k arc center format , whether it plane g17,18,19 . The out put is in many smaller arc segments that blends together to complete the full 180 degee sweep,i counted 13 arc segment at last count,This increase my postout file size . I,v expeimented with the arc filtering parameters & machining tolerance, with unhappy results. the only thing i can think of is my post processer settings ????? Can any one help in this matter . please

I assume that you have already checked to see that you are not machining a spline, but instead a true arc.

There is a line in post "breakarcs : " which will break your arc toolpath into quantrants. Make sure this is set to "NO". Does it do the same thing whether you use I, J,K or use R values?
