  2. About one hundred years ago I was forced to load parts on a fadal cause the regular operator was sick. They looked at me and said you look like you can handle this. I was scared S###less....THe HEad set up programmer was a MORON IDIOT PIN HEAD ....I watched him for hours program & setup & crashed the spindal into the table......THREE TIMES..LOLOLOL.......So i said to myself....I like this work I can do that and get PAID! This jerk so called programmer hid all the programming books from everyone. I contact Fanuc & Fadal Engineering & purchaced all the manuals,,,attended the fancu mill classes in southfield mich. As a draftman (MODELER)I had the jump on everyone else...(I can read a Freakin print LOL) My VALUE WENT UP BIG TIME OVER NIGHT ! I started to hang with the manual machinist a do simple jobs and uses the cnc to do the radial funky stuff and i got fast and good ! then i took on more complex stuuf as time when on !the old guys over (sixty ) showed me the ropes ! I owe them dearly. Like i said that was a Long time ago...thats how i goy started
  3. In pipe (NPT)tapping holes that the print calls for the tap hole to be flat bottom & shallow( CLOSE TO THE BOTTOM THREAT )I use the powdered carb tread mills 80.-350$ OR A SINGLE point.....this allows room for the bottom tread (TIGHT) to get close to the floor of the blind hole..comp out the size

  5. Woooo Nelly.....I never trust this function totally in any cam or cad system..(I got burned once never again)..double check for equal distance between points Do this.....analyze/length...then divide this by the number of points you want on that polyline...errrrr spline this can also tell you what is the equal spacing each point is along that spline........copy spline & points to another screen location ....Break this copy at the points. Then analyze each segment & compare values.....they should be the same.
  6. Join the chain as a spline nurb...then create point along entity

Iv also have been told to my face ( this shop will never go cadcam programming) I watched these clowns program at the control for 3 & 4 hours on stupid simple parts that can be done on cadcam in less than 20 minutes...scraping parts out big time as setup pieses.Busting tools left & right ! They are clueless to the art of feeds & speeds. Eccesive tool hangs for the work being done. The list goes on !!! I just shake my head & smile & watch the comic cartoon show. (safetypass) stock to leave .150...pass.two .05 stepover stock to leave.100..pass 3 .05 stepover stock to leave..05...pass 4 .05 stepover stock to leave..01...pass 5 01 stepover with add cuts..turned on [ 03-03-2003, 10:46 AM: Message edited by: Kenneth Potter ]
