More files in File pull down?

Is it possible to get more than last 10 files to show on File pulldown in MCX?

settings...configure...files...number of files to show in MRU fields.

John, thanks for response, however when I save that field to 16, save, close and reopen Mastercam, still only 10 files show up in the pulldown. Any other suggestions?

Did you try opening some more files other than what you had showing? Open some files not listed there and see if it adds more.

Why are there 2 places to set this number?

 

settings/configure/CAD Settings also has a field to set that defaults the MRU to 10 but it won't let you change this

 

I really need the MRU to be at least 25

settings...configure...files is for the open files MRU, the other in cad settings ..from Mcam Help...

 

Number of items to show in MRU fields

 

Sets the maximum number of Most Recently Used (MRU) items (other than files) to display for selection on a right-click menu or drop-down list in a dialog box. To set the Number of files to show in MRU fields, see Files property page.

I changed mine to 20 but it still only will show the last 10?

 

I clicked on 30 diffrent ICONS and it still only shows 10

Do you want your MRU toolbar to show 20? Thats under settings..configuration...screen...Number of MRU buttons 20.

 

You may need to uncheck enable MRU, hit the apply button, and then recheck enable MRU hit apply again and then the green check to get out and try that.

See this is what is so frustrating about X....crap like this...It may seem so simple, but it is CONFUSING as heck to us dummies!!!

 

I have to come in here an ask stupid questions and look like an idiot because of poor implimentation on this stuff...

Just checking, because the topic was for increasing the number of previously opened "files", under File on the main toolbar. John13's last reply should work for what you're trying to accomplish.
