tapping code for DX32 post

Does anyone know why the DX32 post outputs like this when using a canned cycle? If I turn off canned cycles, it doesn't reverse the spindle.

Is your issue that the tapping canned cycle comes out before the tool change? You want to use the canned cycle on the DX32.

Correct. I would like to use the canned cycle, but it has 2 problems. First, it doesn't call the tool until after it taps the holes. Second, the canned cycles aren't returning to the clearance height to clear clamps. It will do it on the first hole, but only returns to the retract height after that. I think it needs to have a G0 after every drilled hole to clear the clamp. Any ideas?

First off, I know exactly nothing about a DX32 control but the problem you describe sounds, at least to me, to be a post issue.

 

This only happens with a canned tapping cycle???

 

It sounds like somehow it is being called before the ptlchg postblock is being called or it is early in the ptlchg block.

It is the post off the version 9 CD that was updated for X. Odd that the DX32 post doesn't work with the DX32 control as far as compensating for clearance height. I am getting things ready to moto, so I will look at the post later tonight.
