Drilling

Do you want to pre drill before the roughing and have the tool start there?

If so just create a point for drilling and when picking the pocket pick the point first.

Now if you are saying that you want to drill after a roughing and you want to use the plunge point but don’t know exactly were that was you can backplot,In the backplot setting you can save a geo. I suggest setting up another level or color you are not using so after you can delete the color or level.

Now backplot and make a point at the spot were it plunged using the saved geo.

Or you can backplot and not save the geo and watch the numbers at the bottom of the screen.

Write down the numbers were it plunges a create point using those numbers.

Well after all that hope I have helped. smile.gif

Or use depth control and start at a -minus this will start the tool in the material instead of above on the surfacing along with Direction to tell it what way to come in to the part or surface at a feed instead of plunging into the stock.

Kind of like multi surface rough pocket telling it to plunge out side the boundary.
