fanuc not recognixing variables

I have a program that uses variables

 

#1=0

#2=1

 

N1 IF[#1 GT 89] GOTO2

#1=#1+#2

.

.

.

 

the machine is giving me a 004 alarm when it reads the #1=0 line. I've ran these progams on here before, although not in a long time, without a problem. the control is Fanuc O-M. Is it possible that the macro programming has some how become disabled? Anyone have any other ideas?

Do any other variables work? 004 is address not found, correct?

We got it. parameter 913 (macro was turned off. Funny thing is, no one knows how it got changed, but we have hand written instructions here for changing it.

No sweat, that's what it's all about. I think I will lose my mind if my boss decides to switch to another cam software. This forum is priceless!!!
